Terms and Conditions

My products are 100% handmade in Australia. Because they are handmade, each individual piece is unique - no two works are ever exactly the same. If you are searching for perfection in a product, then my felt pieces may not be for you - the nature of felt is that it is imperfect, and that is what makes it special and truly one-off. Please take this into consideration before you make a purchase from my store.

The wool and alpaca fleece used to felt are raw materials and in most cases have not been sterilised. Wool and alpaca fleece often contain small articles of plant matter that have been missed in the cleaning process. Grace Wood Design Studio omits the use of toxic chemicals in the dyeing and felting process. Environmentally friendly non-allergenic detergents are used in the felting process. Eucalyptus oil is sometimes used in washing and rinsing cycles.


Postage is within three to six weeks of placing an order.  If you need an item urgently, please contact me before placing an order and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Standard shipping used by Grace Wood Design Studio within Australia is Australia Post and may be Registered Post for larger items (this requires signature on delivery) or Express Post. 

Any fees such as those imposed by customs or quarantine including taxes, tariffs, duties, country entry charges, etc for items shipped internationally are the responsibility of the customer. Please make yourself aware of any potential fees and charges you may incur on importing the product as we do not take responsibility for this aspect of your purchase. Returns will not be accepted due to customs fees.


It is always my best endeavour to describe and photograph the items in the Grace Wood Design Studio shop such that you can be sure of your purchase. I do understand that sometimes a return is required and in the event that you would like to return the item for a refund please notify me within seven days of receipt of the item with the reason for return. Returns for change of mind will not be accepted.  Returned items must be in original condition, unwashed and unused with all original packaging and tags intact. Any damage due to lack of care or misuse will not be refunded, repaired or credited. Any costs incurred in returning the item such as postage and insurance will be the responsibility of the purchaser. The refund (less actual postage paid to ship the item if it has been posted) will be processed within 7 days of when the item is received in its original condition so it is recommend you use registered or express post platinum for the additional security this provides. 

Custom made items cannot be refunded unless faulty. 

Items lost in the post will unfortunately not be able to be refunded. If the item was insured I will be happy to make you another item once the claim is paid, where possible an near-exact copy will be made (cannot be exact due to the nature of felt).

In the unlikely circumstance that the item I ship is left unclaimed by the buyer and finds its way back to me I will make best endeavours to contact the buyer and if this fails I will refund the buyer the purchase price less the actual shipping cost or shipping fee, whichever is higher (given that I did post the item and it is the responsibility of the buyer to pick it up or receive delivery).
